’50/50′ Releases Another Trailer Proving Just How Great It Will Be

Between (500) Days of Summer and Inception, audiences as well as Hollywood itself is falling in love with Joseph Gordon-Levitt. He seems to bring his charm to every role he plays, whether it be a romantic comedy or sci-fi action. Gordon-Levitt can do no wrong right now (unless he signs on for G.I. Joe 2). This September yet another charming movie can be added to his resume. 50/50 has no chance of being a bad movie. The cast is a talented bunch. The plot dares to go where no comedy has before. And it is all crafted by the skilled hand of director Jonathan Levine (he also directed the 2008 indie The Wackness, which is essential for fans of coming-of-age tales). A new trailer has been released for the film which you can watch below.

The trailer shows what looks to be a brilliant dynamic between Gordon-Levitt and Seth Rogen. Rogen’s humor fits into the tone of the film perfectly it seems, and Gordon-Levitt appears as charming as ever. Oh, and Anna Kendrick is in this, making the film automatically better.

This is going to be one of the darkest comedies ever made. The trailer shows a mixture of shaving a cancer patients hair and trimming pubic hair, and it’s hysterical. But it’s not all laughs. We see Joseph Gordon-Levitt having a mental breakdown in the car. Clearly he is going to have some great drama to work through in this film (I want to bring up the “O” word but i haven’t even seen the movie yet…). 50/50 looks to be one of the best films of the year. I honestly might be more excited for this than anything else coming out for the rest of the year. 50/50 opens wide on September 30th.
