Action Packed ‘Captain America’ Trailer Rocks!
Marvel’s third movie of the summer is just under a month away but the studio released a new trailer yesterday and it is nothing short of awesome. The previous trailer for Captain America: The First Avenger was action packed but it did not convince me that Chris Evans was the right man to wield the shield. This one does.
The trailer opens with a very skinny Chris Evans going through boot camp and heroically throwing himself on top of a fake grenade to save his fellow soldiers. If this trailer can make me fall in love with Steve Rogers, then I cannot wait to see the finished product. Evan’s seems to play the character with a perfect blend of charm and heroism.
Further along in the trailer we get a brief look at Tony Stark’s father and the iconic shield. The action looks exciting. We get a few short looks at Hugo Weaving as the Red Skull further proving how perfect that casting is.
The most impressive aspect of the trailer is how well the crew has brought the 1940s to life. Even the things we know did not exist scream the World War 2 era. It looks like Marvel has done justice to another time period just as they did with X-men: First Class.
Captain America: The First Avenger looks like its is going to be a great addition to the pre-Avengers line-up. It seems to have great characters who can carry the action and make for an extremely satisfying comic book movie.
